Since its creation in 1954 by Hugh Hefner, Playboy Inc. has been an entity known to be a tastemaker and a vanguard for political, sexual, and economic freedom reflecting the views of the post war generation during a very conservative time.
Despite its history and brand equity, there continues to be a stigma behind the magazine and the people who consume the brand.
My vision for this rebranding is to create a platform where people of all races and sexual orientations can explore their gender identity and sexuality in a fun and open way as well as showing the beauty of the human body. The result is a refresh that embraces LGBTQ+ expression and gender equality.
Along with rebranding Playboy, I created a magazine launch party that would take place at the Ace Hotel.
